I'm excited to share I'm a finalist in the Jim Baen Memorial Short Story Award!
I'm in two minds about sharing this - because if this is as far as it goes (and it likely is) then boo.
But I always say - share the small successes. You have to suffer the rejects either way and you never know when or if you might get another good sign again.
So Yay!

Hello, all!
It's been a while since I posted, so first I want to extend congratulations to all the awesome forumites out there who're making things happen. Sales, contest wins, all the goodies!
Then, for my own, huge news: I won the GRAND PRIZE for the 2025 Ozma Awards. That's the Fantasy division of the Chanticleer International Book Awards. "Best Fantasy Novel of 2025, according to CIBA" is a thing I can now say-and it was an unpublished manuscript!
Being there in person also got me the card of a very prominent literary agency (won't say which one; don't want to put pressure on them if they, for some reason, read this) who asked me to query that manuscript, which I did, straightaway.
Much excite!
Jason P. Crawford
Author of Urban Fantasy and Sci-Fi (for now!)
Grand Prize Winner of the Ozma Award for Fantasy Fiction, 2025
Finalist for 2024 Baen Fantasy Adventure Award
