US, British, Chinese, and Canadian Writers and Illustrators are chosen to be published in L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 35.

World renowned artist Ciruelo has provided the cover art for L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 34 releasing April 2018. Known for his fantasy paintings, Ciruelo is perhaps best known as the illustrator of The Official Eragon Coloring Book.

Kevin J. Anderson has published 140 books, 54 of which have been national or international bestsellers.  He has written numerous novels in the Star Wars, X-Files, and Dune universes, as well as unique steampunk fantasy novels Clockwork Angels and Clockwork Lives, written with legendary rock drummer Neil Peart, based on the concept album by the band Rush. His original works include the Saga of Seven Suns series, the Terra Incognita fantasy trilogy, the Saga of Shadows trilogy, and his humorous horror series featuring Dan Shamble, Zombie PI. Best known for his art provided for Spawn, Heavy Metal comics and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as his rare ability of painting with both hands at the same time, Rob Prior has been named as a judge in the internationally-acclaimed L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Contest, it was announced by Joni Labaqui, Contest Director at Author Services, Inc., the literary agency and administrator of the Contest.

The Writers of the Future Contest was initiated nearly thirty years ago by L. Ron Hubbard to help discover new talent in the field of science fiction and fantasy.  Over the decades, hundreds of winners have gone on to critical acclaim, twelve winners having become New York Times bestselling authors.

Ron Ginzler of Battle Creek, Michigan, 1994 winner of the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future contest, announced the release of his new science fiction and fantasy collection, "The Iron Apples of the Stars."
