Hi Everyone!
I live in rural, south-central PA. I just turned fifty this year which only gives me more resovle to accomplish things like winning this wonderful contest(I know--join the club).I sent stories to the contest back in the mid-ninties. One of my stories made it as far as the semi-finals. Then I quit for a while. I had to get some life things out of the way such as a college education, but now I'm back and doubly committed.

Hey Brad,
I live in the Sol system too! maybe I'll see you around there sometime.

Welcome aboard, Brenlea! Let's show those young kids what we older writers can do! Jack McDevitt launched his career in his late 40s, and he's one of my favorite writers today.

Welcome, Brenlea!

My husband grew up in Lancaster County, and my Dad grew up in eastern PA. And I'm also a "took a long time off from the contest" entrant. So, welcome to the club!

Hello everyone,

I started reading Wotf around V25. And have been lurking the forums for a year. Thought it was time to de-lurk.

19, I live in MN. My fiction focus is hard-SF. While my illustrations are dark, and architecturally, based.

Q1 will be my first time submitting. (For both illustration and writing)

It’s nice to meet you all. :3

Thanks, Martin. I like to think of it as taking my time to gather material for story ideas-- maybe that's even true. wotf017

I think there's a lot of truth to that. Ideas are easier for me now than they were at 20.

Pish tosh! You are apparently unaware of the tagline over there.

"Baen's Bar: The bar where everybody knows you're insane."

No, seriously, I have a story to post today, and I'm still trying to re-attach certain limbs to it.

Michael here. I've submitted a story for consideration for the current quarter. I'm not sure what all kinda info people usually drop here, but here goes.

Early thirties, just started going to college two years ago, and I have a story "published" in our (unpaid) online literary journal. I'm actually rather surprised that a acience fiction story made it in, but it's great for me. Hope to meet people that share my enthusiasm for good science fiction writing. Star Trek got me interested in Sci-Fi, but I'll read just about anything now.

Received the email stating I was "Definitly in the contest." for this quarter wotf010. That is closer then I got last quarter. I think my first story ended up in the round "You wish" file. So here's hoping.

Um, hi! I'm new on this forum, heck, I'm new to the website, and I already find myself amazed by it all. I'm thinking maybe I'm too young for all of this, everyone's already an adult, and I'm a senior in high school. But I guess I can wait and continue to work on a story for a future quarter.

Just wanted to say hi, and good luck to everyone entering this quarter. wotf008
