Hi, all,
I need a cover for Flight of the Kikayon (see my sig. to read it) a sci-fi novelette that features a clone-related plot with a female MC who's a castaway on a water planet.
The mood is a combo of hard neurosci SF, action & adventure, and a certain literary feel.
Which of these do you like best and why?
Contact___________________or______________Sector

Hat tip to the designer, who charges just $30 for premade covers: http://www.goonwrite.com/index.htm There's a category selection panel about halfway down in the left sidebar.

I like "Contact" better. I think it better portrays the part of the story about being stranded on a island.
I think the stars on "Sector" can help give a sci-fi vibe, but the mountain-thing just looks odd to me.
I like the image of Contact better but the fonts on Sector better. Does that help?
Thanks, Annie and Monty!
I've pretty much decided to go with Contact, with some possibly tweakage involving the type.

Of the two, I think the one for "Contact Made" fits better.
However, I like the illustration in the Gazette more than I like either of those two.

I know it is go on write, but the URl makes it look like Goon Write to me!
Is it strange I look at those covers and want to write stories to go with them?

I have seriously considered doing this, since my cover-making skills are nil and I love writing to prompts.

I totally get wanting to write a story to match some of those covers! And yes, I think of it as Goon Write, too.
