I know he espouses some pretty radical stands on the business of writing, but no one can deny that he's been phenomenally successful (which is what I am so inspired by, aside from his short stories I've read to dissect for technique). His advice about approaching agents at conferences is pretty bold in approach too...not sure I can do it, LOL. But he agreed to make a guest post on my blog about his journey to becoming a career author and I'm very excited about that. Next week, if she comes through on time, K.V. Johansen, author of Blackdog, published by Pyr Books will be posting a similar story of how she got to where she is. After that, the spotlight will be open to anyone with a story to tell and you're all invited to either tell a story or suggest someone else for me to contact. Jacqueline Lichtenberg (on the history of pitching) was a couple weeks ago and before her was Dr. Harrison Solow (on liminality).

LOL, they were radical to me when I first started hearing them... and they're radical still in terms of what is 'norm' to many of the others in terms of 'how to break in to publishing', especially in my local groups. But I'm convinced radical is best 😉
