FYI, I've deleted all accounts with a zero-post history, which should eliminate the last of the residual spambot accounts.

Hopefully any lurkers who had their accounts deleted in the process, will re-signup and join the conversation!

Much appreciated, all. Hopefully life is easier than ever for people who want to sign up, while the spam blight is finally terminated permanently.

Hey, Brad, have you heard about the latest spammer trick? They hire low wage workers -- possibly the same sort of international workers who gold farm for money -- and pay them to create accounts where human action is necessary to register.

The spam blight is kudzu. It's never really defeated.

I hope I'm not a spammer.

Oh dear. I need a signature.
And an avatar.
And probably other things I don't even know about.

I feel naked.

Incidentally, Brad, the hold time between posts may be a smidge long. I tend to open new posts in tabs, read everything I haven't read yet, and then respond en masse. But I'm having a problem in that I apparently look like a spammer for doing so.

Kyle, I reduced the clock time on the mandatory wait. Let me know if that doesn't make life a little easier for yah.

Thanks! And, don't worry. I'll definitely holler if I continue having issues.
