How to change profile pic?

@tj_knight Nope. I figured it out. It was putting up my old profile pic with my ex in it on multiple sites. I used Gravatar and now it's changed to one of me solo.

How do you change it? I'm usually fairly UI savvy, but I cannot for the life of me find the editing functions for my profile. erhaps it has something to do with being a newb to the Forum. Any help would be dearly appreciated.

Otherwise what you have to do is from the main forum, hover over My Profile, but *don't click it*, mouse down to Account and click on that. Then you have the option to change your avatar.

Did something change? I can't change mine.

If you select "My Profile" and then "Account" you should see a place to upload a new avatar. Let me know if you can't find it.

It's an old pic of me and my ex girlfriend. I don't know how it got here. It's not my gmail profile pic. It's the same for ChatGPT. Please help.

Double-check your account settings on the platform where the image is displayed. Look for any options related to profile pictures or avatars and see if you can change it there.

It definitely isn’t just you! The trick is to go to the main forum page and hover over 'My Profile' - but don't click it. While hovering, a dropdown should appear. Move your mouse down and click 'Account.' From there, you should see the option to upload or change your avatar.

For any new users who aren't seeing any of the options people are mentioning, it appears that you first need to make a post before the options are available to you, and even then, it may take 10-20 minutes for the system to register that you've made a post BUT once you have, follow the steps below!

Option 1

1. Hover over My Profile at the top of the page, then select the Account option.
2. Head to the Avatar section, then select your method for choosing an avatar.

   Note: I found the Choose File option to be the easiest, but the image can't be larger than 2 MB

1. Click My Profile at the top of the page.
2. On the right, below the header image and the Joined/Last Seen dates, you'll see three icons. Hover over the middle one to confirm it says "Edit Account Information," then click it.
3. Head to the Avatar section, then select your method for choosing an avatar.
