Hello, Zodai here.

I had finally finished my story, and was submitting it for the final day of the quarter - but for some strange reason, the application area is not registering my attached story!

Despite the

(Filename).docx
Uploading... 100%

Appearing; it is not registering the upload, and because of this I am currently unable to submit my story!

Please help; I'm doing this for my high school internship (Although I fully intend to continue this career path after I graduate) and it is vital that I get this in before the quarter ends!

I don't know why it's saying that, so my advice is to email Joni!! She'll help you sort things out. Her email is: contests(at)authorservicesinc.com

Same here -- around 6pm EDT.

I've sent an email and screenshot to Joni -- no reply yet.

Same exact issue. Is it okay to send story name in email?

Only 8 hours left... ><

And It's there so we can make sure the filename isn't the issue - It's not like someone can copy a whole story from a title anyway ;p

Same exact issue. Is it okay to send story name in email?

I don't see why it wouldn't...

A note before I jump back into writing - make sure you strip this post of anything that ties back to your name or the title of the story so you are disqualified due to breaking anonymity!

Found this in the other thread; didn't even know it could happen XD.

Out of curiosity, what file types are you uploading? I think docx tends to be wonky with some of these systems? Did you try with a rtf at all?

I always send RTF files -- it's more polite. (grin)

Dear Phil,

No worries. We won't let computers get in the way of getting your story submitted for the quarter.

What I want you to do is to respond to this e-mail with your manuscript attached. In the text of the e-mail message include your name, name of story, your address, your e-mail and your phone numbers.

We'll enter you hard copy!! Sorry about that!!!

I sent mine in this way... Good luck to all!

Actually, that gives me a hint on why she's waiting for "one more box". Those of us from this past quarter with the website shut down must have been enetered hardcopy at Joni's hand.

Good luck to you guys!

I wish I had control over the submission software for the Contest, but that's out of my hands.

Yes, please contact Joni with any technical errors you've experienced, as she can facilitate. contests(at)authorservicesinc(dot)com

And in the end, if you must, print the bugger and send it in via snail mail. That's your near-fool-proof option.

But Brad, that doesn't work at 9pm on the deadline day! (grin)

On the contrary!

Tina submitted her 1st-place winner for Q1 of V29 by snail mail about 20 minutes before midnight on the deadline day, thanks to the wonder of Automated Postal Systems. wotf007
