Limited markets to sub to!

There are a handful of pro-paying fantasy and science fiction magazines that are open most of the time (for example, magazines like Fantasy & Science Fiction or Beneath Ceaseless Skies are usually only closed once or twice a year, and magazines like Strange Horizons open up from Monday to Tuesday every week except during the month of December). However, I personally have had more success with publication in limited calls and anthologies than with the big pro magazines. There are a lot of places that pay pro rates (or close to it) that only open once a year and then vanish into the void, sometimes never to return. With that in mind, I thought I'd start up a thread for limited markets in case people are interested in expanding their horizons when it comes to submissions and the like. I'll update this when I can, but I'd love for other people to get in on the action and report things they've found. Stuff I'm currently aware of includes: Dreamforge Anvil (up to 4.5k words; 4 to 6c/word, depending--see link for details; closes 3/13/21)It Gets Even Better: Stories of Queer Possibility (up to 15k, although 7k or less is recommended; 8c/word; closes 2/28/21)The Mike Resnick Memorial Award for Short Fiction (this one is complicated, just read the guidelines in the link; closes 4/30/21)Upon a Twice Time (1k-3k; 8 c/word; closes 2/28/21) I guarantee this isn't all that's out there, but it's the stuff I had time to dig up. I keep thinking, the moment I complain about it, the dam will burst, the river flow again. Now I'm actually going to complain about it to TRY TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN.

The turnaround at Analog has been essentially STUCK since Sept 13. And me exactly at the logjam. I can't TELL you how it triggers my "high hopes" reflex to be at 100 days on a mag that averages 76 on the turnaround, and for NO REASON. It's got me doin magic thinking ferpetesake which I avoid like the plague.
Let this little bit of rainmaking break the spell so I can get on with my dingdong life already!
