As of today, Clarkesworld has new guidelines which may be of interest to contest entrants who tend to write long:

Word Limit: 1000-16000 words, no more, no less
Pay Rate: 10¢ per word for the first 5000 words, 8¢ for each word over 5000

(Emphasis mine.)

Commence rifling! With their response rates, it didn't take me long to send in everything I had they hadn't seen... wotf007

Ha! Well, no. I have a very staunch trunking policy, in that I only trunk items that I decide I'd be embarrassed about if they got published. Sometimes it takes me a year or two and 20-30 rejections to get embarrassed, but there it is. There was that one though . . . I really shouldn't.

I should write something new.

BWHAHAHAHAHA! (Like that's going to happen!)
