Way to go, Ishmael! It's a deserving story.
Congratulations, Ishmael.
I saw that a bunch of acceptances for Flatiron came out on Grinder today.
Oops, where did that idea go? I had it a minute ago....
Congrats, Philip!!!

Thanks everyone.
I like to think that this is the year I figured out how to write short stories. Ever anxious to keep my feet on the ground, my wife tells me I submit so many that I have to get the occasional one accepted by the law of large numbers.
But since I contrived HM or better for every quarter of V32 I've decided I prefer my explanation.

Congrats Philip. No doubt both you and your wife are right as both quality and quantity are required to turn submissions into acceptances.
Congrats to everyone here. ![]()

Congrats, Jennifer! I liked this story a lot.
Meanwhile, I have another little piece of success to report. Bards & Sages Quarterly Jan 2016 issue is now available on Amazon, and it contains my minuscule story, Razor Bill Vs Pistol Anne.
Oh, and I have also to report my first ebook sales revenues, for the grand sum of 1.11 euros
Well, it's a lot better than nothing, actually!

Update while I was updating: Grats to Ishmael and Jennifer and to George as well (you are on a massive role)!
My story 'Reflections', which was my only published piece apart from drabbles this year, will be appearing in The Year's Best YA Science Fiction and Fantasy: Volume Three (goodness that's a mouthful) from Twelfth Planet Press, an Australian publisher.
I woke up to the email Christmas morning. It made me feel better better about my overall year of nothing but form rejections.

I'm very pleased to report a ninth acceptance for the calendar year, eleventh overall.
My 2700 short story Time's Winged Chariot has been accepted for Third Flatiron Publishing's Spring 2016 anthology, It's Come to Our Attention.
This is my first piece of alternative history to be accepted.
And it does help make up for the fact that I also passed 250 rejections for the year

Good show, old man, good show.

Congratulations to all the handsome, successful and talented types above. Some good last minute 2015 publications there 😀
Golden Pen winner v32 (2016)
Thanks all - very speedy contract exchange on this one too.
Matt seems to think we're all handsome, successful and talented. First time I read it I thought we were handsome, successful or talented. Hard to know which to choose really. Fortunately it seems we don't have to.
But if we did ...

Well, talent makes you successful and success makes you appear handsome.
Or maybe its the other way around...

I am concerned at how probable aspects of that story are.
Which is, of course, what great SF is all about. Top stuff!

Thanks guys!
Nice story, Aaron.
I've noticed it can be hard to do straight up dialogue, but yours works very well.

Thank you. This story kind of required it. Disembodied without a setting. That eliminates both narrative and action leaving only dialog. It was a fun challenge.
I really liked that story Aaron. It is one of the bright stars already this year. Well done.

Just sent my edits for a flash piece accepted by Splickety Prime. For their “news that never happened” issue.
Crossing my fingers for a piece being held for consideration elsewhere.
A nice little start to 2016.
