Congrats Hazlett, let us know when you have a link/details. And awesome, Rebecca. btw, I love the picture they put with the story. It reminded me of the original picture the story inspired.

A while ago my short story, "The End," was published in issue 4 of Corvus Magazine. It's a free online publication, but at least someone's reading my work. Smile

Penumbra put up a blog post on December 31st. They are putting out a "Best of Penumbra, Volume 1" anthology. My short story, "The Memory of Huckleberries," has been selected for inclusion.

This was a very nice holiday surprise!

I love your metaphorical language: jaw creaking like an old piano leg, like a peach bloated in the sun, throwing firewood on the pile sounding like broken bones...such beautiful language and a great story! Congrats, John--and thank you for sharing.

Also, congrats Rebecca!
