My story "Heartless" is up at Fantastic Stories of the Imagination. It got an HM from DF if that is of interest to anyone.
Reread the story, Krystal. Just as good as I remember. Congratulations!

Thanks, Preston, glad you liked it! I actually am supremely uncomfortable with time travel stories, but I was at a workshop where we were informed we would be writing two time travel stories, and so we did, and this was one of them. It's a difficult task to write outside your comfort zone, but I found it to be a rewarding experience, too.

Well, this is still quite a novelty for me, but 2015 is off to a good start. Stupefying Stories have accepted a 2700 word piece entitled 'ALL OF THE PEOPLE, ALL OF THE TIME'
Urban Fantasy, would you believe? I've decided I really do like writing this sort of thing after all!
Borrows the shades.
Arr, Phil lad, that's what comes o' writing more stories than any man in the world, oh arr. Yer puts thirty out there an' somethin's got to give!
Ahem. I'd like to think it's a matter of quality, not quantity, Long John.

Oi bin countin' see. It's over thir'y again, ain't it?
Well ...
That may depend on how you count. Some things don't count, some things don't really count, some things have been queried ....
An' some things probably got stolen on the way by some o' they highwayman, eh?
Nonsense, there haven't been any highwaymen since .... well at least since they stopped charging tolls on the Forth Bridge ...

And some news of mine; in fact more than one piece of good news, interestingly enough.
First, I just got an acceptance from Sci Phi Journal.
Second, I'm now officially participating in sfcomet, an international contest in Chinese, which also means that a story of mine has been translated in Chinese for the first time.
At this point, I'd like to strongly suggest to all of you to apply for participation in SF Comet. The contest winner receives 500 $, and even the losers get paid nearly pro rates for publication; not to mention that you have the chance of attracting many Chinese fans. Among the authors that participated in the last six months are Mike Resnick, Nancy Kress, Alex Shvartsman, Deborah Walker, Gary Cuba and Ken Liu. This month I'm running against Anatoly Belilovsky and 3 Chinese authors. Win or lose, it will be great.

I've heard about SF Comet, but haven't studied it in detail. It sounds like a fabulous opportunity all around. Good luck!

Philip, I'd seen you in that hold pile too. It seems he's slowly going through the pile, and he's mostly accepting at the moment; so there's still a chance we'll be sharing an issue over there.

You may have a future in fortune telling, George. I just got an acceptance from Sci Phi too. Whether we will be in the same issue remains to be seen. It appears there may be a queue. Nevertheless - steps back in amazement - the past fortnight has produced as many acceptances as my entire short story career to date (2) plus a rewrite request.
If I am dreaming, please don't wake me up too soon because I'm enjoying this!
