Posted a collection of 3 stories featuring my character Remy Pigeon:

Description:
Three paranormal mystery short stories featuring Creole gentleman Remy Pigeon. Remy Pigeon has a gift, or a curse. He touches objects and reads the past from them. Sometimes this lets him solve mysteries, but mostly it gets him neck deep in paranormal problems.

Til Human Voices Wake Us-
Bodies of men start turning up in the bayou and the sheriff turns to Remy to solve the who, why, and how. But when his gift uncovers more mystery and more bodies, Remy might have to choose between justice and saving his own skin.

Dusk and Shiver-
The last thing Remy expects on a quiet day at home is an axe-bearing zombi breaking through his front door. Worse, she’s a former client of his, and the mother of a newborn baby. To solve the mystery of her un-death, Remy must venture out into the post-hurricane wreckage of his town, find the baby, and stop a murderous voodun sorcerer.
It’s one hell of a day off.

Flashover-
Remy prefers to stay away from trouble, but when an attractive red-head with a serious problem and a supernatural secret wanders into his house on a hot summer day, Remy knows that trouble has just found him.

It's on Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/Dusk-Shiver-Pigeo ... 008CUKFXC/

Another audiobook is live. The narrator did an amazing job and I can't wait for her to finish the next two books in the trilogy. Especially because Gamers has been selling decently on Audible.

Hey peeps,

Just dropped my latest. It's my first full length novel. The Troubleshooter is a blend of noir detective with dieselpunk elements and cast in a dystopian future. In shorter terms, it’s Philip Marlowe meets Blade Runner...

Thanks everyone!

This is the first time that someone else did a cover design for me. Stephan Prohaczka is pretty well known for his noir and dieselpunk art and design, having just released a collection called Diesel City. The figure on the cover is photographer Mark Krajnak of Jersey Style Photography, who does all sorts of photography but is keen on noir style. I got to know both of these gentlemen via networking -checking out their works and contacting or commenting on it. I count myself very fortunate, but it goes to show that when you take that extra step then it can majorly pay off sometimes.

Somehow I thought I already did this, but it appears I missed these two ...

A solitary monk cloistered on a barren isle is swept away by a tidal wave. Rescued by a smitten selkie, he suffers a crisis of faith when she reveals what she had to do to save him.

"The Tides that Bind" earned an Honorable Mention placement in the Writers of the Future contest.

3,150 words

You might think it would be frightening to be plucked from your horse by a dragon, but Eretrice is a princess, and knows how these things work. The dragon carries you off, and you get to have a few months of fascinating conversation--dragons really are quite intelligent and enjoy a meeting of the minds--then you go tie yourself to a rock every few days while princes come try to rescue you. But what happens when the dragon is more appealing than any prince? -- An adult fairy tale.

2200 words

These are available on Amazon and Smashwords.

These look great, Rebecca! The cover for "The Tides that Bind" is especially well-done. This thread is going to expand my reading list beyond manageable proportions. So much good stuff! wotf007

Thanks very much! I really struggled with the cover for The Tides that Bind, (I believe some of that is documented over in the Cover Workshop thread.) Glad to hear it's at least tolerable.

I've listed my semi-finalist for free on most ebook sites. Here's the Amazon link:

http://www.amazon.com/My-Brother-Jacob- ... a+mccarter

Jacob is an odd little boy with eyes that peer into your soul and seem to know what you're thinking before you do. Most teenage girls would be unnerved, but he doesn't faze Jessie. It's like she's always known she's had a strange little brother from space. Even as a toddler, he's her best friend and partner in crime.

But when strangers show up to take Jacob away, Jessie and her mom do the only thing they can do. They grab Jacob and run. But how far can you run with an alien in tow? How do you stay safe? Jessie's mom seems to have all the answers and she's not telling. Jessie will have to trust in her heart and herself to make it through or risk losing her brother.

I'm sure the blurb and cover need some tweaking, but it's what I've got.

I would point out to those who have not already done it, updating and using your author page on Amazon is hugely beneficial. I updated mine and saw a big jump in downloads and even a few more sales than usual.

Anne, nice, bright, colorful, professional cover. Hopefully I can have one that bright, colorful etc. when I finally get my novel out.

But it reminds me of a certain cover back in the eighties that was made into a movie.

Well, here's my meager contribution to the world of e-publishing.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007V8R1PG/

It's an apocalyptic thing, with sex and drugs and violence but it has heart, damn it. Anyway, be kind, this is my first try, I'm still learning. My friend designed the cover. I'm at the mercy of volunteers as I have no money or graphic design skills of my own. I'll take any criticisms offered, though I have no way to change anything at this point. I think he did a good job. Better than anything I could produce.

Blurb:

"A high school field trip to a local university. A series of electromagnetic pulses from space. A gamma ray burst that threatens to destroy Earth and every living thing on it. The extinction of the human race. . . . And Danny Whitmore, a shy, introverted high school senior who must somehow validate his entire life on this, his--and humanity's--final night of existence.
Danny is a self-described nerd whose passions include video games, philosophy, science and competing on his high school's academic team. He prides himself on his intelligence and academic prowess but has always wished for more. And now, with only one night left, can he overcome his own personality and accomplish his goals? Marooned on the college quad with no adults in sight, no electricity, no communications and no way out, Danny must choose between resigning himself to oblivion and living the life he's always dreamed of.
But he has a lot to overcome. His own shyness. Old acquaintances--and new ones. Kids from the popular clique whom Danny has always hated yet longed to belong with. Felix, a former friend and academic team compatriot with a Napoleon complex. And Carol, the most unexpected find of Danny's life.
Can Danny find friendship? Can he find love? Can he find meaning? Can he maintain honor as the night degenerates into a Lord of the Flies style free-for-all? Can he live the rest of his life in a single night? "

Just "reprinted" my short story "In the Arms of Lachiga" over at my new blog, alexkanefiction.com: http://alexkanefiction.com/in-the-arms-of-lachiga/

I'll be publishing an electronic collection of several postcyberpunk short stories to Kindle, etc., in the near future using the above cover image.
