I am terrible at self-promotion ?
This is my first completed book. It is an anthology of local myths mixed with my own experiences and a liberal amount of spicy details added. There was a word in German for elaborating stories but I forget what it is. Sales have been decent. I have had 2 book signing events and have a third one at the end of the month. Two local stores carry it (I'm always looking for more). I don't know that I would call it a success yet but I did make the money back I invested into paying artists and buying supplies. Some stories are more horror while some are more fantasy. If it makes enough money I want to hire an editor for volume 2.
I was teaching a unit on the Brothers Grimm and thought "I could do that." I had written some other longer narratives but got bogged down and never finished them. Shorter stories help keep me engaged to push through and finish. I did about half the art for the book.
It's a big day for me. The first book I edited officially launches today! First time with my name on the cover of a book. And I think the first book of its kind, an anthology of scifi/fantasy stories about religion. Just the thing every mom wants for Mother's Day!
Also ebook version is free through Wed! (When getting the free ebook, you don't have to get Kindle Unlimited. You can use the orange Buy Now button)

We did an open call for the stories, but I wrote the following:
- The introductory essay about how scifi and fantasy help us understand religion
- The story "Deep Play," about how a Cambodian college student reconnects with his Buddhist roots after undergoing a clinical study that causes him to see the hells of all religions
- Some of the discussion questions that follow the stories (most are written by religious studies professors)

Lights. Camera. Survival.
In the aftermath of a catastrophic pandemic called the Red Death, those who remain have banded together in barricaded enclaves, struggling to survive in a world where no one goes unarmed anymore.
But Gil Thornton, an aspiring screenwriter and director before the plague, has a crazy dream--to make a movie in the ruins of civilization. He has one working camera, a script, and a dedicated cast and crew, each with their own set of skills. When a disastrous encounter leaves the Apocalypse Pictures team devastated and without hope, Gil decides their only chance to finish the film is to break into the heavily guarded Hollywood Hills and shoot on the Universal Studios backlot.
To get it done, they must face nanotechnically reanimated corpses, a madman from Anaheim and his rodent-garbed gang, and a former movie mogul backed by a private army. Gil and his team will have to choose between getting the shot and saving lives—unless there’s a way to do both…
