I'm waiting for "The Three Little Bears and the Zombie Apocalypse," or "Ocean's Seven Dwarves."

Sorry, I couldn't help it. I guess it's just me who's tired of these "cleverly supernatural" twists on fairy tales or histories or whatnot. Just feels like they're trying too hard on most of them.

Or not hard enough wotf011
I like to give these shows a season to find their stride though, if the networks will be patient with them for that long. Some of my past favorites got off to terrible starts (IMO) but ended up being great.

So the Zombies would be too scary, not scary enough then just right?

Or the weapon to use against them would be too powerful, not powerful enough lastly just right?

But I'm sure they could come up with some type of Three Bear movie. I think I could come up with an idea or two myself...how good the ideas would be is another matter.

But yeah, sometimes a series on TV of a movie at the theater does start off not so well but gets better. I wished I had more time to watch at least the first couple eps of the Fairy Tale shows.

Just now trying to get myself into Dr. Who --heard lots of great things about it. So far in season one there have been awesome episodes and this-is-why-some-people-think-sci-fi-is-lame episodes. I'm guessing the latter drops off and the series is later full of nothing but awesome.

Marina,

Give it a chance! I wasn't so sure about it in the beginning. Now, I have seen every episode of the new series. I am kind of addicted... It is full of awesome! wotf007

They finally do a book or three I would want them to and I can't watch it. Of course as bad as these three are suppose to be maybe that is good. At the same time I would want to see for myself how bad. I can let things go by if I get into a story but I didn't do that for The Dresden Files. Not too badly done but it wasn't Harry Dresden.

I saw an episode of ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND and ... ugh.
The first episode was almost amateurish, imo.
I wish I'd stuck with the original series longer, but ...

Sh! There are people around here who saw Series 1 Episode 1 live in 1963. William Hartnell had previously played an irascible Sergeant-Major in a sit-com about national service in the army. This national call-up also ended about 50 years ago and only just in time for certain persons who shall be nameless for fear of provoking an eminently justifiable outburst by Bob Writer.

My daughter – three fingers old – saw a few minutes of Star Wars Episode IV, in a shop last weekend. She asked me if she could watch the whole thing with me sometime.

I wept tears of joy… and then replied, “As long as you don’t tell mommy.”

Busted by mommy before I could show it to her. I may show her a clip of yoda, though.

Twice now I have seen a blurb about the latest episode of a certain TV show. It seems to be about the crew of a space ship from the way most of the characters are dressed and it looks like it involved aliens by what one blurb said.

Title is something about outer space or deep space or some such?

Anyone know it and what it is about?

The name of the show I was trying to remember is "Other Space".

Never heard of it until a couple months ago when Comcast started to "blurb" it.

A couple of series I've really been enjoying are Falling Skies and Extant. Both from Spielberg, they play out like serialized movies, with very high quality...everything. The cast, acting, storylines, and FX in particular keep me riveted almost constantly, which is not easy in our current world of TV overload. I hate to see Falling Skies end soon and hope Extant keeps going indefinitely.

I've seen Falling Skies 1-4. I dig Noah, so I had to watch them. At first I was annoyed because of how often they used human stupidity as a trigger for tension, but they let that go after a while. Love Cochise.

Haven't seen Extant. Don't like Halle. But I hear she's not in season two, so might be worth suffering through 1 to get to 2.

Between. Meh.
The 100. Awesome. If you can make it to the end of the pilot, you should be hooked.
Sense8. I would marry this show if I could.
Continuum. I like how the creators sold this show to the network. They almost didn't get a final season. Glad they got 5-6 to finish the story arc.
Heroes. Dying to see this start up again.
Daredevil. Expectedly great. Gory.
Eureka. Loved it, but it lost its way a little at the end. They found out they were cancelled and rewrote the final ep. I was impressed given the time constraint.
Being Human UK. Don't give up after season 4. 5 was practically a different show and great in its own right. They went from dark and brooding to humor and if you can handle the switch, you'll like it.
I watch a lot of TV.
I need to read more.
Dr. Who, Walking Dead, of course, of course.
Teen Wolf. Sad, they just lost their way. First few seasons were very fun.
Black Mirror. Heart, heart, heart.

There's more, but Netflix is calling.

Rick and Morty is one of those weird shows where I feel like I should hate it but I love it anyway because underneath the juvenile humor there's a lot of deepness and just enough disturbing for it to appeal to me.

I love Farscape series so much! It's probably one of the best sci-fi fantasy tv series produced so far. Well written with lots of twists and character development was at its best. I wish there were more then four seasons.
