Alpha pass on long story and crit on shorter one

I've got a just about 12K story (sci-fi mildly dystopian I guess) that I'd love a high level read through by someone. I've had one reader on it already and made some pretty significant changes at that point. But I still feel like I could use a "does this work" kind of read. I wouldn't want anyone to spend the time on a full out critique on it yet. I have this thing where the more I feel like the story is one of my better ones the more doubtful I am that it works at all for anyone but me. (Hooray for writerly self doubt).

I also have a 2300 word story that I wouldn't mind a more detailed critique on (kind of horror-ish which isn't a genre I've tried before).

In both of these cases I'm happy to return the favour. Just so you know before you offer my critique style is focused first on my reader reactions. I love telling people the parts I loved or laughed at - I like letting them know when it makes me think of something in my life. I will also tell you when I feel you have made a "promise" and that I'll expect something related to come up somewhere in the story. I try to keep my wording commentary semi-minimal since it's your voice not mine (although I will make recommendations where I think reordering wording would add power). And I pretty much won't ever make a comment on punctuation because mine (especially commas) is not great.

My preference would be to exchange 2 or maybe 3 on each. And if you get me your story this week I can probably turn it around really quickly!
