Kicking myself. Just submitted my entry and was saving off the confirmation page when I realized I had an apostrophe in the file name, and the wizehive entry info notes to use only characters and numbers. I e-mailed Joni immediately, but have yet to hear back. Ack!!!
Does anyone know if the system will accept an apostrophe as a character? I did get the auto "thank you for your submission" email. Does that mean it went through okay?
So stressing myself out right now.

I feel like, based on my tech background, that a comma might be more trouble than a hyphen but probably wouldn't be problematic enough not to work. I'd expect other special characters are really the ones you want to avoid (pointy brackets, ampersands, percents, dollar signs, pound signs etc). So hopefully that confirmation will come and all nail biting can stop until later when it is getting close to results time
Maybe we'll both end up at the v37 workshop together reminiscing about our special character worries back in Q1!

Yes, hubby and I were thinking along those same lines (we're in tech fields, too). Control characters bad, grammatical characters not so bad. I was on the fence with the apostrophe, though. Since some languages do use that. Eh, we'll see. Hopefully the fact that I got the auto-confirmation at all indicate it went through. I mean, how else would they even know to send the auto-confirmation?

Yep, I won't breathe completely at-ease until Joni answers my inquiry, but at least knowing someone else's went through makes me think I'm probably okay.
