Q2 Volume 40 is my first submission to WotF. I've been perusing these forums, which I discovered only yesterday, and I have to say--this community is awesome. We're approaching that window where hearing results can happen at any time (meaning we're supposed to begin twitching now? lol), and I'm definitely getting anxious. Helps a lot to see all these folks who've been through this several times before. It's nice not feeling alone as a writer; I think a lot of us do. Anyhow, good luck to everyone--the grit and mutual encouragement of this community is inspiring!

Welcome, Kory! I'm glad you found the forum and this contest. Both rock! Good luck on your result and however it fares, know one of the hardest part of this craft (imo) is showing up. You've done that with finishing the story and submitting. Congrats!
