@chs nice debut!
You'll definitely get a critique, however, if you didn't get results via e-mail, you should contact Joni or Jason to confirm they have a working e-mail to send said critique. You could @ jason here and set up a PM or e-mail contests @ authorservicesinc.com (that's Joni).
Thanks @tj_knight! Yes, really looking forward to the feedback and thanks for the just-in-case contact info.

Thanks all for the congrats—this is all still rather hard to believe!
Congrats to all SFs, SHMs, and HMs—and to everyone who finished and submitted a story, which already puts you in rarified company!
In case anyone's interested (and hopefully a shameless plug is allowed*), I wrote up my news in my newsletter this morning. Subscribe (free) if the subject matter interests you; I write about writing, including my current pursuit of a creative writing MFA (and I'm sure to write about my contest experience as next year's workshop approaches).

Congrats everyone. So awesome to see the forumites doing so well. Don't give up. That's the secret to success. Only took me like 47 tries before I crossed the finish line. Can't wait to read the latest volume. I've got them all BTW. Loved volume 41. That's another great way to know what the contest likes. Read the latest volumes.

Winner, 2nd place, Q1, Volume 35
42 stories published! (and counting!)
So, hello there Preston. Im glad you made the finish line with your hard work and persistence. Its also nice to see you here as well. Unfortunately for me, I cant say the same thing- although I HAVE gotten 2 Semi-Finalist (with one being critiqued ) and about 6 HM's. So not too shabby. Of course, I have been at this since 1998 so that is something to ponder.
Take care and stay well,
Jose Sanchez
Looks like the Q2 certificates are arriving! I just got my SHM certificate in the mail [not sure if it came Friday, Saturday, Monday, or today because it was sent to a PO Box. Anyway, be on the lookout! Thank you author services!

Somehow I lost my Guthington profile, but it's me. Amy Wethington = Guthington = Physa
Thanks for the heads up, @physa! I just (late Sunday afternoon) received my critique as well. Wow -- I'm super impressed by this team...

Wonderful thing that the contest can give recognition to everyone who places. When a story I wrote in college placed second in a multi college contest, I got a two sentence note on scratch paper from the judge. Funding had fallen through for the creative writing magazine they printed for the contest, so the winner got the same jack that I got.
Here, there are occasional non-winners who go to print. This must be the right place.
Have fun.
