Dave Farland said on Facebook that he’s still judging for this quarter - I think we’re looking at next week. Every Day Is Thursday, but I don’t think this Thursday is Thursday. No promises!
Where did you see this? I don't see it on his personal page. Just wondering if I'm not following something I should be.

Well, I just received an email from Joni proclaiming that my story has received an HM..... And then I realized that was for last quarter and I needed to scroll further down in the email chain. Ha! Ha!.
the anticipation...
Your post almost gave me a heart attack
I just had a dream about myself getting an HM, and none of our fellow forumites got rejected...You got me on that post too! HermioneLee

And I think I may have had a dream we got results too a few days ago... can't quite remember. But I probably jumped up and checked my email

I looked back over my Q3 response data, and I thought it was weird that in 10 years of electronic submissions, I've only ever gotten results in October once (2 in August (!), 5 in September, and 2 in November). I hope this year adds to that October count!

Hi Beth. I'm new to the forums and curious if the response data you mentioned is something I'm also supposed to be keeping track of for myself? Or is it that you mean you've heard back about your submission already? I haven't, and now I'm wondering if that means I didn't make it very far in the contest this time.
It’s THURSDAY! Good luck all!

Unfortunately it was a R for me, but Joni worded it so nicely it didn't sting too bad! LOL
I got a rejection 🙁 It was a rewrite of my previous story that got an HM, but it was also before I joined the forum. Have since realized I did everything wrong with the rewrite so I expected a rejection but was mildly optimistic it would at least place.
Congratulations to all those who placed and any getting phone calls!

Steady on, until up.
I'd say that's a good sign. SHM is early / mid finalist pile.

Sorte,
I've been there.
Few years back I couldn't get Dave to read anything I sent in. Had 4 in a row (and for me, I sub like 2x a year, so it was a long drought).

Another rejection, but no wonder about it. I just finished the online workshop, and I understood how many mistakes I've made. Having a nice story idea in the head without transmitting it to the reader worths nothing.

Congrats to all who've made SHM this quarter, seems like a lot of people this year. Still waiting to hear from some other though... Hmmm.
