So I know officially all results come out on Thursday, but have any of the folks out there who have been doing this for a while have records on what days of the week are most common?

@disgruntledpeony I thought you won the contest already. 

I won last quarter, yeah, but I've got a lot of people I'm rooting for (more than can possibly win in any one quarter, sadly), and also I empathize pretty heavily with the twitching, so I like to help where I can.

Who's going to hand out the hot chocolate and pillows for the fort if not for the level-headed, previous winners who continue to support us?
Our hands are too twitchy, and we'd spill it all over everything.
Big, big messes—LOL.

Or do the WotF results come out on Thursdays (which I also didn't know)

It's just a long-running forum joke about the contest results. All results come out on Thursday, and, every day is Thursday. Lol. ?

Well now I've got that country song "It's 5 o'clock Somewhere" going through my head on repeat. Thanks a lot, guys!

The first seven results I had were on Thursday, and then the next three were on Thursday. 

My HMs have arrived on Thursday, all twelve of them. But my F didn't arrive until the Thursday that Joni called me. My SHMs were in my inbox on Thursday.

I've never received an SF, so I don't know when those are sent out. Thursday maybe?

It's odd you say that. I've always had mine on a Thursday

I want to say that I've gotten results on a day that wasn't Thursday, but... I think Thursday in this sense is a state of mind. Thursdays are late in the week, but there's still lots more to do before end of the day Friday. Thursdays are when you likely get that second wind and say to yourself, let's do this thing so I can enjoy my weekend. At any rate, I'm content to hunker down in my blanket fort and see what sorts of things others have brought. Waiting for the time to have s'mores because I brought graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate bars. Hang in there everyone!

Just hanging out waiting for results. A week of Thursdays

This wait has got me so antsy, I feel like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I've been trying to work on my Q1 as a distraction, but my mind keeps jumping back to wishing the results would just come out.

Argh. I just heard from Wulf Moon that we may have another 2 weeks to wait. I am passing to word on to fellow twitchers.

That doesn't really surprise me. I mean, that is a TON of stories to get through after the awards. I'm figuring mid-late November for Q3 followed by mid-late December for Q4. I'm sure Dave will want to finish up and be done with it to catch a bit of break over the holidays.

Two more weeks to get 3 stories turned in at once? I'll take it!

How on Earth do you remember which actual days you got told, Rebecca? Did you have to go back and look that up? They were all Thursday, of course. I have no idea which Thursdays I got my results.

I'm with you, Babooher! My Q1 for this year is almost done. I'm tempted to send it in early, purely to be able to say I've had three in at once.

I went back and checked all my emails from the contest. The days are all over the place but, yes indeed, they are all magically Thursdays. ?

I'd do the same, but they will inevitably be Thursdays. It's uncanny.

I logged them all on the grinder! Just had to check the day of the week. All Thursdays, in the end. 

i'm wondering - yeah - it's always a thursday - but what does that mean for ppl on the other side of the atlantic? when can they say 'did not place'?? is it the middle of the night?

Ah. Much easier to find! I don't think I logged all of my submissions on the grinder (was subbing to WotF before using it). I checked and other markets have responded on Monday, Friday--all manner of days.

Wotf all Thursdays, though.
