@kz_richards right? I don't know what I was thinking 🤣

@jason Hi how's everything going with you ? Hope you are well.
I had already entered my submissions for the Q3 quarter earlier before. Any word if there's any progress in the selection process yet ?...
By the way, I already have 2 artworks done and will soon start up my 3rd piece for Q4. To save on time, Ive decided to make it in black and white. I guess you could say that "Im ahead of the curve" ?...
Take care,
Jose Sanchez
My records show August 23, 2024 I received my Q3 RWC.
For you talented writers out there, that may mean Finalist calls are going out now (is today Thursday?) or very soon.
Good luck everyone.

It does seem early.
Could have been that my story was so bad last time, they sent a RWC out before everyone else.

You did better than me ... It was the only quarter over several years that I didn't enter a story [health related crap going on]. Also, I'm pretty sure all the results emails come out over a day or so [maybe the SF emails take longer]. I will say that they seem to be getting more efficient so maybe ... Too bad there's a gag order on those who get calls. Oh well. NNINN as they say [no news is no news].

Did someone mention s'mores? Other than that unfortunate accident when the dragon sneezed, the s'more station was a great idea.

@annmarieinlr Uh... Hold the dragon snot? I think not! More like hold the Hersey's bar.😅
Let's not forget the value in drinking dragon's blood. If given the chance, I'd settle for snot! At a minimum , I'd expect to gain a shinier complexion when all Hershey's is going to do is provide temporary relief for my chocolate-withdrawal headache 🤣🤣

@jtwrites Hahaha. Well... as I'm constantly battling nausea these days, the snot thing just wasn't doing it for me.
But, more power to your skin care routine!
@annmarieinlr The dragon was very embarrassed by the whole incident, but not as much as the gnome whose clothes were burned off.

Does anyone know when calls typically go out for finalists in relation to the deadline to submit the next quarter?
@annmarieinlr you should submit if you're ready regardless - the calls between quarters are not coordinated to the upcoming one. Sometimes they are before, sometimes after. Last year q3 was announced aug 23 but the year before i believe it was not till sept 12. Both dates are before the q4 deadline but as at least in other quarters they have not always been, i would just think of them separately. not sure if thats helpful

@gideonpsmith Thank you! It is helpful. I'm getting something ready. I was just more curious as to whether Q3 had consistent results.
@annmarieinlr FWIW I got my finalist call just 2 days before the 6/30/25 deadline. So yeah, if you've got something to submit, I'd go ahead and submit. Then, if you win and are therefore DQ'd, that submitted story will be freed to go elsewhere! 🙂

2025 Q1: HM Q2: Win!
2024 Q3: RWC Q4: RWC
@stricklandia Thank you! I think I'm more nervous this time because I wrote this quarter's story to honor someone and the win would mean a way to do a HUGE thank you to them.
Do also people who place below finalists (for example HM or SHM) get sone notifications before the official announcement? This’s my first time submitting and tbh I think my story is good, but not good enough to be a finalist, so I’m a bit nervous regarding results.
@haganenoedward Yes. E-mails (rejections and placings) and phone calls (for finalists) happen prior to the official blog post. Then the finalists wait from either a few days to a few weeks for the results. At that point, when the three winners are confirmed, the blog post goes live on the website with all the placings.
