Talk about a double whammy. Getting Q3 results, then Q4 within the next two weeks or so? The pressure is intense. Or would that be 'in tents,' considering we're all out here camping for news?

Same here. Didn't receive an individual email on my Q3 HM, just a generic email that said the results were in the blog post. Not complaining, mind you, but if some people received individual emails and others didn't, that would indicate the automated email system may still need some fine tuning.

ETA. For q3 that is. Don't want to start a panic lol. 

@dommichaels I have the feeling they hacked something together specifically to get the Q3 results out, but Q4 is business as usual.  At least I hope so.

I think all this email checking is slightly premature. I thought Jason (or was it Kary?) said the results for Q4 will be a couple weeks after results of Q3. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So should I be cheering 'ring those phones' at my phone or are we really into 'just waiting on rejection flavour' territory?

Ring those phones is a thing from a telethon they hold in my province each year - so from my niche perspective the first part of the above is kinda funny.

As for which it could be... could be either! The emails don't go out before the finalists are contacted, but beyond that, timing is a Great Mystery.

That's what I figured. I have a concept and first two pages for Q1.

I'll hold onto the hope that all the finalist calls (except mine which is pending) took so long that there just wasn't time to get to my phone call today. I shall hold onto that sliver of hope at least until tomorrow. I'm allowed since I'm hosting a party in my personal province.

Plus, I'm already in for Q1 and started on Q2 so I can afford a little extended (even if it is fanciful and unlikely) hopeful twitching time.

But just in case it is all a pipe dream I am going to go and add three EIGHT words I thought of that will add to my Q4 story for its submission to another market.

Those sound like they must be a great eight words! Have at it!

Well I think they add a layer that was missing and maybe even a chuckle for the reader. So, as word count increases go I think they will be worth it.

  Hoping emails will follow soon, but I have to exit party for sleep. Will join everyone again tomorrow. I have to say it is the email I am waiting for. Any flavor of certificate would be nice.

Same here on my expectation for an email rather than any phone call. I'm quite fond of the story, but there's a bleakness to the story of which I doubt Dave takes a liking to. Do as I say, not as I do: Know your market.
