Congrats, Steve. Though Eureka, CA? Is that a real place, or is someone pulling my British trousered leg??

And yes, the Gator is preparing a special anchovy surprise for whichever forum regular will still be with us. wotf005 You see, she's not all bad. wotf041

Isn't that where Global Dynamics is located?

Yep! (I think, at any rate...)

Eureka is real enough, but it can seem as remote as the moon getting there sometimes.

Congratulations Steve! wotf010

I was just there about a week ago and my kids where threatening to puke all over the car. We had to pull over a lot. The twisty roads to the coast are killer.

On highway 1? Think we might have passed it. Since I was driving I had my eyes on the road and my fingers crossed. May have accounted for some of my erratic driving.

Every day is Silent and Grey. Pretty much says it. You should write a dark comedy. I loved the Death Roll comment on the other thread.

wotf006 Awesome! While I admit I--ahem--often laugh at my own terrible gator jokes, I confess I was practically rolling around on the floor with that one. It's nice to know I wasn't the only one laughing. wotf001

As for writing a dark comedy--I've already written one of sorts! Two even! Flash length and near flash length. I'm tempted to try something longer...

We receive a lot of fantasy fiction, but never enough science fiction or humor.

Well, F&SF didn't want MY humor 🙁 Oh well, guess I'll have to try again. I've got another one cooking up in the works.
