*sliding in* I'M HERE!! I'M HERE! Did I miss it? Did I miss the deadline?

Btw, it's just my mom and i here and we're having some sort of visitation from the other side. We've got Tupperware flying out of cupboards and carousel wind up toys going off. The ghost of New Years Eve is feeling restless!!

Finishing up a first pass on my rewrite for Stupefying Stories.

And now I'm writing one, if not my last, post on this thread for 2013. After all, us Californians are still living in 2013 as I write this, and Martin my be of the future as we speak.

And now I shall conclude with the following:

[Writes obligatory mathematical proof and/or statistical analysis]

Speaking of the Ghost of New Year's Eve... over on the V31Q1 thread, MeganG and Vswan69 have been shocked to find that electronic submissions have shut down early.

Is that the one you're looking for readers for? I may free up on Thursday or Friday. (But don't tell Tina!)

I am now. I wasn't earlier this week, but I got the rewrite request yesterday. Thursday or Friday would be awesome. I'm just trying to get it out as soon as possible so I don't revise it to death.

Plus, I have two more 5,000-worders to finish over the next two weeks for an anthology, so I don't want to waste too much time working on an old story.

Yeah. That's it. I didn't miss the party, honest! *sob*

Dear Sir,

Thank you so much for your kind regards, alhough I must admit to not remembering much of what occurred on Boxing Day. I seem to have blacked out.

Yours sincerely,

Brigadier Sir Charles Arthur Strong (Mrs.)

p.s. - I have mentioned that my wife was the Battalion boxing champion, haven't I?

Just wanted to note here that I looked back to the beginning and you, Martin, had the second post on this thread in Sept. 13, 2011. This thread may yet outlive us all.

Happy New Year, All!!!! wotf047

Man, tell me about it. We're at 15% of normal, and rainfall hasn't been this low for 400 years.

My daughter's out there (Berkeley) with her 78 degree weather... during the rainy season that isn't. As for me,
I'm getting ready to celebrate our heat wave. A balmy 28 degrees! woo-hoo. Of course with 25 mile an hour winds (takes out calculator to figure wind chill...)

Did you get a load of I-75 in Atlanta? 3 inches and it closed the thing DOWN.

NPR ran a story on Atlanta yesterday. A group of students and teachers were stuck at the school all night. It sounded like a fun little impromptu shut-in if you don't count the apocalyptic weather conditions.
