Oh, and if you still need a distraction, go download my free short story today. Reviews appreciated; honesty welcome. Smile http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007X5SY58/

How long is it free? I was honestly going to wait until it's NOT free again, because I prefer to pay for my fiction. (Yes, I am even weirder than you thought...) I'll get a copy then, and I'll get a review up.

It will be not-free tomorrow. Smile And you have my thanks either way.

Or maybe this is just one of my favorite Bugs Bunny bits...

I was going to link to a famous M*A*S*H episode, but I can't find any clips of it online. You know what that clip would say, though...

M*A*S*H was one of my favorite shows. Smile

I'm off to write now, so y'all behave. I've got a Q3 that needs finishing.

I've had a lot of M*A*S*H quotes running through my head lately. And lately I keep telling people "There's a rubber chicken in my teapot," but people don't seem to understand what I mean by that.

I don't want to lose my cookies! Or toss them either. Cookies are for eating. 😛 😛 😛

I just need to get a few more k's done on the novel first...

That's right, Q3 ends next month. I think I have a piece already done that I could sub to them (A revised story, no less).

Maybe they sent out the LAMP results snail mail yesterday and are ranking the holds... I can hope, can't I?
Time to finish up Q3 which is coming together nicely.

I'm not going to worry about submitting until they're back on schedule (they still have Q2 to judge) and I know a bit more about this judge. So, happy day! She's becoming cynical like the rest. (not really, just want to devote more time to my first love... writing novels. I've been spending too much time marketing and not enough fun spec time.)

For example, isn't Marina being awfully quiet? wotf011

Lol. Ah, le sigh, Marina has been quiet for distinctly non awesome-phone-call reasons. Just usual life.

But tomorrow's another day. wotf011

For those LAMPS (and others) who haven't gotten a whiff of a response of any kind, don't bother querying Joni. I've done it for you. Here's her response.

We are running a bit behind, but we will get the results out soon. If you haven't received notice that is a good thing, as we've sent out 99% of the rejects. Hang in there, we'll get to you soon.

So hang in there, folks. Answers are coming. Eventually.

Nothing in my mailbox today.

I am in NY, so I may be the last to know, but I figured I'd report that NNiNN.

Maybe, but being a LAMPS, my ?? could be in the mail, which technically means she's responded.

Consider, no LAMPS has heard. So I'm thinking mass mailing. wotf017

Writer's Block is hell when you're writing a novel. Especially when you're trying to build the world in the first two chapters.

So, little things like that are slipping out. Evil Mike must be contained.

99% of the rejects are sent out? That is a good thing. Finally, no news really is good news, and there's still hope for those who wait. When will we know? As Joni said, "soon [and] eventually." Hmmm...that sounds like Thursday to me!
