So I guess even my birthday curse wasn't powerful enough to bring on a results avalanche. Proving once again that I'm not queen of the mountain. We're just going to have to jump a little higher and scream a little louder.

Good luck Francis and Dawn to your Viable Paradise applications. When will you know if you got in?

(PS: Thanks for the birthday wishes. I was sick yesterday, so all I could do really was answer all my birthday calls and emails. I'm miraculously better today, but I still got my thousand words in so I wouldn't brake my thousand word streak I've had going. I will finish my Q3 before the end of May! Ha! Take that birthday curse, you can't touch me anymore because it's the next day!)

Hm. Perhaps Evil Tina brought on the sickness yesterday, in anticipation of the curse.

Hope you are feeling better. My kids were sick today and now I'm feeling run down.
Applications close June 15th. I think the acceptances come out in July, maybe the 15th also? Last year I was rejected, but got into Uncle Orson's so it was some consolation. Hopefully I'll fare better this year as my craft is leaps and bounds above last year.

The one response on Duotrope in the last 30 days looks so sad and lonely. I think they are waiting until June 3rd, so all the listings will be SHM and up. wotf010

I've heard that from a lot of people about Orson's Boot Camp (that they just grow so much in that week. Kind of like a pass to the front of the line! A Disneyland Fastpass Smile Good luck with the VP application this year. I hear they're tuff, but you can do it.

Tina - thanks for the luck.

Francis - I was rejected last year, too. Let's hope this year's better for both of us. Good luck!

Yep. The bootcamp experience is intense. 6am-12am just about every day for me. Some people went all night. Even the first two days if you can't get in is worth it. Lots of good material and Scott is amazing.

Well, my application story for VP is my SF entry, polished per KD's recommendations. So I've got my fingers crossed.

I'll be in 9 hours of meetings tomorrow without easy access to email. I'm betting on announcements tomorrow. You'll all have all the fun, and I'll be completely out of the loop.

Elinor's pet on the loose! We really need to get her under control before she hurts someone! A blog post, an announcement or results of any kind will be the only answer!!

Also Zombie's running amuck in Florida too.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/2 ... 48359.html

All this can be solved by the click of Joni's computer button. We got problems only Super Davetm will be able to solve with his super human reading powers.

(doing my part to get us to 80 pages before the announcement. I like round even numbers).

It's 456 am West coast (US) time, but of course it's almost tomorrow here ... I'll (again) be sleeping when the email / phone panic sets in, so I just wanted to say, good luck all, congratulations to those phone recipients!

It's got to be today, doesn't it? wotf017

Well it was 0456hours when I started writing the post ... it's even closer to knowing results now!

Edit: 0500hrs actually wotf008

Thanks to Dr. Phil's cryptic comment, the panic has already begun!

Yes, but with the amount of times he's almost won, he deserves an early mark -- if his hint is what we think ... although, others (myself not included) are pretty quiet recently?

Perhaps they all know already ... NNiNN for me.

Great. If they take I-75, Ohio is a straight shot up from Florida. Now I have to worry about snowbird zombies.

Good luck today, everyone. Joni said we'd know this month.. she's certainly dragging it out!

And we have to make it to 2500 posts before the quarter is abandoned. Not sure we can make that mark, though.

Something ate my last post. anyway... Maybe we should have a yearly reunion of Jibber Jabber Q1-29, though it is quite possible it will still be active at that time.
