Very good! Thank you for posting. Though if we don't hear something next week now I fear the Gator will lose it, and we don't want that. wotf015

Hey guys,
From The superstars writing seminars:
Dave Farland said that KD was behind on judging prior to passing away.
Due to deadlines, he couldn't get into it until this week, but will finish judging Friday on Q1, and will begin work on Q2 on Saturday.

Straight from the Horses mouth. It sounds like Q1 should be judged already and is just in the process of contacting people, probably next week?

Thanks for bringing us news. I have a hard time blaming KD for being behind while she was sick. She was kind of epic in keeping up with the contest at all while fighting cancer.

Using past history as a judge, that means that Q2 results probably won't come until August, unless Dave is a really fast reader. Probably won't be next year until things are back to normal schedules.

Indeed. It does seem that she must've read most of the entries though due to the vast numbers of HMs and rejections that went out ages ago now. Just saying, she was a trooper for sure.

Farland just commented in FB that Q1 judging is done. I assume he means his part, not selecting the final three.

Aaaah, but now we get to begin pointless speculation about who the finalists are that are keeping mum.

Don't eye me. From the looks of things, I'm predicting another SF for myself. I'd much prefer a Finalist, but that's what I'm expecting at this point.

Who knew bottom lips could be so expressive? And they make excellent places to hide!

There's a Bill Cosby skit where he says childbirth is like taking your bottom lip and stretching it up over your head. I always think of the Martians when he says it.

So... anyone want to put odds on a blog post early next week? They do two of them, right? One announcing all of the HM through finalists, then another one announcing winners?

Here's hoping they can contact all of the finalists lickety split and put up the big list next week.

Come on, where's the speculation and the finger pointing? Nothing but mild hints of suspicion?

Is it one dollar beer night at the local Evil Persona bar?

I think anyone who may have been called is keeping quiet, and I think everyone else is assuming that no one will be called until, at earliest, tomorrow but perhaps not until next Thursday.

I think we're just so happy to know the end is near (so to speak) that we don't have any room left for suspicion.
