No doubt many of you have guessed this by now; but now that it has been announced at the workshop, I can officially share that I am a member of the slush team for the Writers of the Future.
Because of the anonymity of the Contest, it would be wise to avoid sharing your entries with me.
On the flip side, we're a slush team. If I think I recognize the author of a story, I simply skip it and let somebody else read it. If somehow we all recognize it, we'll pass it to Jody without comment and let her decide. If she recognizes it as well, you must be really making an impression!
I am honored beyond words at this opportunity. I really enjoy the opportunity to read your work and maybe pass it up to Jody. I will be thrilled to see you up on that stage someday.
Keep writing!

Congratulations Martin!!!! That's awesome!
“Stories are the collective wisdom of everyone who has ever lived. Your job as a storyteller is not simply to entertain. Nor is it to be noticed for the way your turn a phrase. You have a very important job—one of the most important. Your job is to let people know that everyone shares their feelings—and that these feelings bind us. Your job is a healing art, and like all healers, you have a responsibility. Let people know they are not alone. You must make people understand that we are all the same.”
