Hold pile: HM
Hey Annie, you're not allowed to submit anymore to WOTF, are you? You've got four sales with DSF. Just curious, and congrats on that. (Despite your last "educational rant" to me, I still think you should keep plugging away at the professional publishers with your novels. Grisham got something like 100 rejections on A Time to Kill).
I have five sales to DSF, actually. And no, no more WotF for me.
I make more money self-publishing my novels than waiting years to see if they sell to publishers, but thanks.
Got 2 more form rejections today in the mail, atop my email form rejection that I'd gotten a while back. So now I'm just confused. They both arrived in SASEs with my handwriting, so either one of them was meant to be Q2, or the SASE floated over from another quarter...

LAMPS (I guess) got a response in the mail today.
Straight reject. That makes two in a row now. A dishonour unbefitting a former finalist!
Is there an emote around here for flipping the bird? Ahh, no, but this will do better. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
I'm worried the new judge just doesn't like my VOICE or something that I'll be unable to overcome. But worries are just worries. Still working on Q4.
Steffenwolf--How did you submit your last three stories? Electronically or hard copy?
Received an HM email via Joni for Q1 on 4/26, and eventually received my unsigned certificate (it was explained KDW chose my story for HM, so was left unsigned) last month.
Any idea when we're going to know the winners for Q1 and have the official posting of finishes?

No one really knows; but for all the semi-informed speculation you can handle, we'd love to have you join us on the Q1 Jibber Jabber thread. We're supposed to keep this thread for results only, but sometimes we slip up.
And welcome aboard! (Darn... Slipped up again...)

Congrats on the HM! Much better than a straight rejection.

Friendly nudge. Only results in this area. Everything else goes in the quarter-related jibber-jabber thread.

According to Joni, my result went astray. Straight rejection. No surprise there. I didn't name my character until the second page. It is definitely not Dave's cup of tea. Or does he only drink coffee?
I'm back from CA. Apologies to Joni; my results letter (SASE) was waiting in my OH mailbox on my return. It was postmarked June 30th.
