This was my third submission and I'm super surprised to get an HONORABLE MENTION for it! Also, I'm new to this forum thingy so I don't know if there's some unspoken rule about not even remotely hinting at what your story was about, but I thought mine was risky seeing as it revolved around cowboys and the end of the world ... Also, does anyone know an actual NUMBER of submissions the contest usually gets? Just curious.
Oh, and best of luck to all of us next time around!

Welcome! But this is actually the "results only" thread. Hop on over here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1384 (the "jibber jabber" thread for Q1) for questions and chit chat

This isn't MY result, but it's A result, I saw a link to the press release (would be nice if these were posted to the WotF blog simultaneously):

Ben Jacobson from Colorado

That's my official cue to consider mine rejected (though I'll pop on here again when I get an official notice). Now I've got only one more eligible entry and then I am out of the contest foreeeeever.

Should I have gotten a response yet? because I haven't... and I feel like the email has gotten lost or my entry wasn't submitted or something and it's gotten me worried.
Some of us are still waiting. Suggest waiting another few days since the staff are busy with the workshop and awards ceremony this weekend.

Yeah, I haven't gotten any notification either. I figure with the injury and such to David Farland's son, Ben, that it may be getting delayed by that.
Honorable Mention! Woohoo! my first DF HM. 😀
