Note, I have zero relationship with Mythulu dot com except as a full-retail-price-paying customer. However, I scored a deck for Christmas and made a few draws already. Two helped me clarify key background relationships for my next MC, as well as create a weapon and creature to include in the story. Looking forward to the results.
I learned about this creative aid in episode 166 of the WotF podcast, guest Laura Crenshaw. The deck has several cards in six categories: Characters, Elements, Habitats, Relationships, Textures, and Traits. Drawing combinations provides intellectual stimulus for creative questions you ask.
For example, before drawing I asked, "What is one of MC's powerful memories about their parents?" Then I drew Character = Gatekeeper and Trait = Negligible Senescence (lack of symptoms of aging). After mulling the connections between those two, and what else I knew about MC, I came up with the motivation that triggers MC's quest.
If anyone else has experience with this tool, post your struggles and breakthroughs.

@joe-benet, interesting you bring this up. We did a podcast #166 with the Laura Crenshaw, Founder & CEO of Mythulu.com.
Mythulu mission is to stabilize and expand the storytelling industry. The world is hungry for new stories. You’re ready to tell them. Our goal is to be the belt to your Batman. Check out what else we’re about to slip into your arsenal: Explain your decks, the premise of how they were created and all the perceptics they use.

I haven't gotten the physical cards, but I have the Mythulu free app (which has a smaller selection of the cards). Those cards are amazing, and the artwork is gorgeous!!
