The Writers and Illustrators of the Future Contests celebrated the winners from L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volumes 36 and 37 on October 22, 2021, at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood, CA. This was the first combined event in the nearly four decades of the Contests.

Cloudy Los Angeles skies could not dampen the spirits of the illustrators as Contest administrator Joni Labaqui led the artists down Hollywood’s Walk of Fame for a tour of the historic Author Services building.

Whenever you have a new story idea, ask yourself what story you can confidently tell that nobody else would think to? Tell that story, and whether the world scoffs or rejoices, you’ll at least have made your own place in it.
