Produced as a professional event of the highest caliber, the Writers and Illustrators of the Future Awards ceremony is truly the equivalent of the Academy Awards for science fiction and fantasy.
Preparations for the event are meticulously orchestrated. In the days leading up to it, the winners are fitted for their tuxedos or gowns. The night before the ceremony, everyone participates in rehearsals.
