Hi everyone,
I've been illustrating for years and want to start getting into children's book illustration. Can anyone recommend a good online course?
I've found an online illustration course on Make Art That Sells is it any good? Are there any other kids book illustration courses out there?
Thanks,
Si
Welcome to the writers of the future forum Simon. I think your question would have a better chance on the illustrator's forum. I would help if I could but, I'm a writer, not an illustrator.

@storysinger Isn’t this the illustrator portion of the forum? This is posted under art and illustration.
Sadly, I don’t know of any good online illustrator courses.

@storysinger Many thanks for your reply. I thought I posted in the "Art & Illustration" section?
I know this may be a silly question, but where is the illustrator's forum if this isn't it?
Thanks again...
There is a forumite, that could help (@clfors). I think she does both contests.

@simon-brown hi! I’m a writer and illustrator. Did you find what you were looking for. I actually don’t know what courses on illustration are good to take as I’m primarily self-taught. The Illustrator articles on the Illustrators of the future have some cool advice and insights though.

Did you try Udemy courses? If not, give it a try. My all-time favorites for learning new things online will be Udemy and YouTube resources.
Bonus tip:
Check this article on "How to become a children's book illustrator - 9 tips"
I know this is an old thread, but I'm new to the forum.
I haven't vetted any of these options personally, but here are some links that might be helpful:
Storyteller Academy: https://www.storytelleracademy.com/

PM me if you need these links - but you can also Google them. 😉

Eventually the Forum software will trust your links. When an account is new, the software is more suspicious.
