The amazement is that Ender's Game (the published novel) is almost 30 years old, and it still manages to pop up on the NYT bestseller list with routine predictability. It has been through how many different printings, with how many different covers, and in how many different languages? This to my mind is the apex of SF fiction publishing success. Ender's Game is being read across generations. If the movie does well, I fully expect there to be sequels. Like Harry Potter, it will be consumed and re-consumed by each new batch of kids who discover it. Astounding, really. Hat's off to Mr. Card, who hit platinum with this single book, and series.
