Thank you, everyone! And thank you, Moon. Yes, that call was pretty wild - we essentially hung out and chatted for fifteen minutes before she said "congratulations, you're a finalist - and, oh, you're also the third place winner!" Luckily for both of us, I was already sitting down. And yes, it was on the floor. I'm still trying to get it to sink in. Truthfully, one of the things I'm most excited for is the illustration! I can't wait to see how it comes out.
As for the "you are a writer" part - hilariously, this is how most of my family and friends are hearing that I've been writing. I'm getting a lot of "wait, you write??" It's pretty fun.
