Every time I get a phone call from an unknown number I think, “WotF, car warranty, a Nigerian prince, or a relative arrested in Mexico City or London or Paris…?” So far it hasn’t been WotF but I might get arrested if I don’t pay my enormous tax bill. *Sigh*
See, most of those want your money, but the Nigerian prince is like a genie: if he chooses you, he'll throw enough cash your way to solve all your problems. Maybe you shouldn't hang up on him.

I had a call from a “Potential Spam” number today. Out of curiosity, I looked up the area code and it was from a Los Angeles sunburn. Made me kinda worried for a while. But, I choose to believe it was someone trying to sell me a timeshare in luxurious Death Valley.

I received a RWC, I think, but it didn't specific story direction/feedback. e.g. "common reasons that a story needs some work"
It would take the slush readers way too long to get through stories if they gave any specific comments.
Semi-finalist stories receive specific story issue comments. I felt these were very helpful for my story.

Probably not, but I'll keep my fingers crossed just like everyone else!
No news is no news. I'm hard at work revising a story that will be my Q4 story. It was supposed to be my Q3 story but surgery robbed me of the time I had set aside to do the final edits. Alas. I did manage to knock off a lot of stuff off my list before surgery so that's good. I'm just now able to sit at a computer for long stretches of time. Not 100%, though. Still have more medical stuff to deal with in my near future. Staying positive and hopeful.
