@shounenbat I am so with you there. I made a commitment to enter every quarter, but school and work had me buried. I hurriedly wrote Q3 in two hours, with no time to proof read in order to make the deadline. I'd be surprised if it even got an HM.

I keep hoping its still not too late to get a phone call, but each passing day makes me less hopeful. The beauty is that I'll keep writing no matter what and, because I loved my Q2 story so much, my next goal is to write one even better.

Yep. Wulf Moon's advice is great, but I'm pretty sure my Q3 story is good in concept only. Maybe I can revise it at some point. I still think the concept is fine, but the execution...

Mine was a straight R. Becky liked the opening. My critiquers liked the whole. At the moment my intention is not to bother again.

RWC for five of the last six quarters for me. I share your thoughts on my style not fitting the new judges.
I don't plan to quit over it though, it's too easy to write a short story and submit. Never give up.
