@ease Thank you! It is a real shame the stars didn't align so we were both in the same Volume, and it's not like the US is the size of the UK (or even Wales, where I live, which is smaller again) so it's just a case of "popping down the road". Hopefully there will be another opportunity to meet in person
I've always preferred bronze to gold or silver And it also means I join the hallowed ranks of the bronze medalist club among the forumites!

@joel-c-scoberg Congratulations!
“Stories are the collective wisdom of everyone who has ever lived. Your job as a storyteller is not simply to entertain. Nor is it to be noticed for the way your turn a phrase. You have a very important job—one of the most important. Your job is to let people know that everyone shares their feelings—and that these feelings bind us. Your job is a healing art, and like all healers, you have a responsibility. Let people know they are not alone. You must make people understand that we are all the same.”

@wulfmoon Thank you! I'm super excited and look at the many forumites who have won and gone on to have further success afterwards as inspiration.I'm trying to absorb as many tips as I can before Hollywood to get the most out of it.
I'm not an "official" member of the Wulfpack, but I have privately completed a number of KYDs (time-management is a struggle for me!) and subscribe to your newsletter (and your book is on my bulging to read list), all of which I have found a great help

Thank you for your comments on my KYD exercise and I'm happy you're a subscriber to my Wulf Pack Club letter (although I must confess the good stuff is now mainly on my Patreon). The contest can and does launch careers, Joel, but we must take advantage of the recognition and publicity to make it happen. Use the wind it puts in your sails to steer toward the shore you desire, but don't be afraid to make course corrections when you see something working better than others. And most importantly, make good friends with all of the new contacts you'll have from the workshop. We need allies in this business, and loyal friends to share the ups and downs with.
Enjoy my book when you get to it! I wrote How to Write a Howling Good Story not only to help writers learn the necessary fundamentals to create professional, award-winning stories, but also to show writers what's up ahead as you start gaining success. Winning WotF is a major accomplishment, but there is so much more to come. The concluding chapters were written to help you stay the course as you begin your career ... which is what is happening for you right now.
Congratulations again! I wish you the very best of success!
All the beast!
