I'm in! I took a very whimsical route, writing it was super fun and the fact that it's a whole story makes me happy 😊

Submitted! With 55 minutes left to spare! This is 100% the latest I have ever submitted before. I swear Q2 will be done earlier. Probably. Maybe.

I'm in! I'm not as happy as I would like to be for this story, but considering I procrastinated (oops?) and wrote all of it today, I don't think I get to complain 😅

And I am in. Had a lovely 3 minutes to spare. Sadly, this is not the first time I have submitted last minute. I had great intentions. Worked on it as much as possible, but also had to work today.

I keep saying I will get better. I do really like the story, so there's that. And I've been working on a little at a time over the last few weeks. But I had hoped for at least one final read through instead of a panicked edit to remove bits no longer needed.

May the force be with everyone!!

I got my entry in with 20 minutes to spare last night. Yeah me! My 2023 productivity took a hit when I had a leaky appendix back in August, followed by lots of infection and surgery. Then the infection moved to my liver. I won't go into all the gross and unpleasant details except to say that last week all foreign objects were pulled out of me and I no longer need IV or oral antibiotics. I'm cured. And I managed to enter a story. Party Yeah me!

Congratulations! Life trials that serious often do get in the way of writing, but it's a really good feeling when you are able to find a way around them or through them and get a story in. Well done!

Good luck to everyone who entered this quarter!

“Stories are the collective wisdom of everyone who has ever lived. Your job as a storyteller is not simply to entertain. Nor is it to be noticed for the way your turn a phrase. You have a very important job—one of the most important. Your job is to let people know that everyone shares their feelings—and that these feelings bind us. Your job is a healing art, and like all healers, you have a responsibility. Let people know they are not alone. You must make people understand that we are all the same.”

Nah. Since they came up with rwc I haven't even got an HM. I still write good stories, it's just now they award rwc instead of HM's.

I guess I am on the outside looking in. I missed my chance, oh well.
