I had another interview with Joe Montaldo, this one on the program “News On the Flip Side.” 900,000 live listens, and he said it will go to 1.5 to 3 million with archive views. The interview featured news about my upcoming book on writing that began right here in the Super Secrets thread, How To Write a Howling Good Story. I fielded many questions from writers around the globe, mainly on how to get published, and how to win Writers of the Future. Might help you! ?

Joes mic was having feedback issues, but my answers are loud and clear. And I gave him the scoop on a secret anthology project I’ve been invited to be a part of with eight NYT bestsellers and many Hugo, Stoker, and World Fantasy Award winners! That’s around 1:02:38 if you’d like to hear the announcement. After Writers of the Future and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, it’s the most important anthology I’ll have been a part of. But you have to listen in to get the scoop—it’s still a secret!

For those of you waiting for my book of Super Secrets—How To Write a Howling Good Story—it’s done and uploaded to my publisher, Mark Lefebvre of Stark Publishing. Sorry about the delay—I went from 2000 to 3000 words a day down to 220 word output a day due to long-COVID. Many months of pushing through the brain fog, but I kept at it and am back to normal output again which allowed me to finish out the book at 37 chapters and 100,000 words. It’s a big book! Kickstarter backers get it two weeks before it goes to public retail platforms, but we’re here at last! Preorder link soon!

Thank you to all in this forum that have supported this endeavor, which began as my desire to help all of you to succeed in your writing goals. I’m happy to see so many have using all the tools in this forum, including the Super Secrets! I look forward to seeing many more of you on the WotF stage!

I loved the article, Moon. You make a lot of good points in there. I’m definitely one who is guilty of not thinking through titles, but I’m working on it, and now see the importance of doing so. Thanks.

So. There it is. And for those of you doing my KYD challenge, if this doesn't stir you, you can always choose to take your chances and roll the bones using a d100 on the prompt list in either of my two Super Secrets' of Writing books! Just remember, whatever prompt comes up, you have to MAKE IT WORK. You don't get another roll. That's what makes this challenging. And what stretches your writing abilities!
